Story Seekers
Every Monday and Friday

11:00 am to 12:00 pm

Calling all Story Seekers!  The Bradford Area Public Library invites families with children ages birth to five to participate in our Story Seekers program every Monday and Friday at 11:00 am. We offer a variety of literacy activities that include reading, writing, talking, singing, and playing! A new story is offered each week with play experiences that encourage active learning and inspire the imagination. Children have opportunities to create their own stories using art materials, building blocks, dramatic play, and music and movement.

During the month of January, the Story Seekers will talk about snow, fishing, owls, bears, mice, and otters. We will start the New Year off with the timeless classics, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen, and The Hat by Jan Brett. They will create crafts based on these books. On Monday January 20, we will read The Blizzard by John Rocco, the story of the author’s experience during the Blizzard of 1978 that brought fifty-three inches of snow to RI. Let’s start this year off with great books, creative crafts, and fun activities.
