Story Seekers

Mon, Dec 9, 2019
11:00am - 12:00pm

Calling all Story Seekers!  The Bradford Area Public Library invites families with children ages birth to five to participate in our Story Seekers program every Monday and Friday at 11:00 am. We offer a variety of literacy activities that include reading, writing, talking, singing, and playing! A new story is offered each week with play experiences that encourage active learning and inspire the imagination. Children have opportunities to create their own stories using art materials, building blocks, dramatic play, and music and movement.

During the month of December, the Story Seekers will share a book and do an activity based on the book. On December 6th, we will share The Love Letter by Anika Aldamuy Denise that illustrates how a little bit of heart goes a long way to making the world a better place. On the following Monday, we will listen to “Stand Back,” Said the Elephant, “I’m Going to Sneeze!” by Patricia Thomas, the classic story of an enormous sneeze in the making, told in sprightly nonsense verse. For the remaining programs in December, our Story Seekers will celebrate the holidays with books and crafts. Story Seekers will not meet on Friday, December 27.
