Calling all Story Seekers! The Bradford Area Public Library invites families with children ages birth to five to participate in our Story Seekers program. We offer a variety of literacy activities that include reading, writing, talking, singing, and playing! A new story is offered each week with play experiences that encourage active learning and inspire the imagination. Children have opportunities to create their own stories using art materials, building blocks, dramatic play, and music and movement.
Our story seekers will listen to The Summer Nick Taught His Cats to Read by Curtis Manley and You’re Different and That’s Super by Carson Kressley and work on crafts related to the books. Do you like to read? Nick does and he decides to share his love of reading with his cats, Verne and Stevenson, by teaching them to read. The Summer Nick Taught His Cats to Read captures the challenges and rewards of learning to read. You’re Different and That’s Super is the story of a one-of-a-kind pony who learns that it's our differences that make us super.
The Story Seekers program will resume meeting every Monday and Friday starting in September.
