YOUTH SERVICES LIBRARIAN
The Board of Trustees of the Bradford Area Public Library is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Youth Services Librarian. The Bradford Area Public Library serves a population of 21,000 within the City of Bradford, Bradford Township, Foster Township, Lewis Run Borough, Lafayette Township, and Corydon Township. Right next to the Allegheny National Forest, Bradford has
many opportunities for outdoor recreation combined with a low cost of living.
The Youth Services Librarian will supervise full and part staff in the Early Learning Center, as well as any volunteers who support youth programming. YSL will develop programming for children of all ages and manage the book collection acquisition and weeding. The YSL will establish a partnership with local schools and community organizations to further the mission of the Bradford Public Library.
Salary range is $34,000.00 – $35,500.00 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus a competitive benefits package.
*A Master of Library Science is required
*FBI Clearance, Act 34, Criminal Background Check
*The ability to manage multiple projects at one time, take initiative and self-impose deadlines.
*Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as computer networking skills and internet applications.
*The ability to work in a team environment and follow through with programs during day and night hours as well as weekends if applicable.
